Just put a Simrek Drive Shower on the Bravo, eliminate heavy hand out of the hole & the drive will live. I had/have single & twin blown Formulas now for three seasons and never had a drive problem..... no chalk either- because I use Simrek exclusively on both. And Paul of Simrek is having a SALE right now for OSO people. Call him ( go to driveshowers.com).

28 Eliminator 502 efi - 64mph @3200' altitude
after whipple with 7 lbs - 80 mph gps
Best speed was at LOTO 82.2 gps
CAP071, You will really like it. Like Kokopelli said, the acceleration is the most noticable. Koko, thanks for talking to me last year when I was installing mine. As far as the drive, it depends on how you drive it. A friend of mine has 4 years on a bravo 1 with a whipple 502 efi and probably 200+hrs with no problems. I upgraded to an XR & IMCO lower for peace of mind, plus now I have a spare bravo.

MerCruiser 454 Mag EFI's in 32' Sunsation
Pre Blowers
HP: 385 (rater by Merc)
Prop: Bravo 4 blade - 28" pitch (non - lab finished)
Speed: 76 - 78 mph @ 4900 rpm
Post Blowers
HP: 550 @ 6 psi
Prop: Bravo 4 blade - 32" pitch (non - lab finished)
Speed: 90 - 91 mph @ 5100 - 5200 rpm
While the top speed increase was nice, the mid range punch is just plain awesome now! At 3000 rpm, I've got 650 ft*lbs. of tourque that pull like a muddafukka!
