Default What's this boat worth??

A friend of mine is looking at a 1991 38' Eliminator Eagle.

It has 330 hp Mercs with around 300 hours and a triple axle trailer. The boat has your basic options for this size boat.

I checked on NADA and they don't list this year/model.

Any guesses????

Thanks

Like the site, there are a few intereting boats listed there. But I think this Dumb-a$$ got what he deserved.

The starboard propeller failed, losing a blade and causing vibration. The vessel was operated long enough with the shaft in an unbalanced state to allow the strut to actually wear/vibrate through the hull. This produced a hole at the strut mount that allowed water to enter and cause partial submersion. High water extended to above the engine compartment to approximately 4-5 inches in the galley that includes the lower portion of the Sub Zero freezer and refrigerator. The water did not reach the carpet or padding in the galley or staterooms. Both engines were operating at the time of the incident and are seized. Engines and genset will require rebuilding. Transmissions have not been serviced.

if that the same boat its not ugly. It looks like an mid-late 80s scarab. The no enclosed head kind of sucks though.

My book, which is ABOS, only goes back to '92. It states that that boat came standard with twin 350's. In '92 the MSRP was $200,000.00. I would be thinking around that 30 to 40 figure.

Mr_Volocity, are you saying that the Eliminator was partial submerged? I didn't see that anywhere on the discription.

If I was still in the market, I would be bidding. I've always like the Eagle series.
