Question Where to put each battery? L or R or

Im rerigging my boat and going to add a second battery and was wondering which way to go about it. When I had outboard boats we tried to balance the weight. Now it would be convienient? to mount both on the drivers side (starboard). My concern is that both batteries each weigh about 48 # or 100# for both. Thats a lot just to put on 1 side dont you think? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks Greg

( I never did like english class)

On a single engine boat, many times the prop torque forces the boat to lean left/port under power. Mounting both batteries on the right/starboard side can help keep the boat more level. In my 24 Outlaw, I had both batteries on the right side and with just me in the boat, it ran perfectly level.
