Default Trim limit spacers for XR drives?

Anyone know if the upper limit spacers (the ones that fit inside the trim cyls) are essential for use with the XR drives? I recall something mentioned about U-joint damage. The limit spacers come with the gimbal bearing kit which also includes a special bellows retainer to be used in place of the std. bravo bellows retainer.

Thanks,

Mark S.

The spacers are needed to prevent damage by the u-joints. The joints are much larger on the XR and XZ and full up tilt must be limited.
