What is a decent price for a quality custom canvas? Do the "off the shelf" mooring covers actually keep the interior dry?

I use a place in Moriches. He charges $40. per foot with sunbrella and did my 31' cigarette. Cost me $500. and really did a fantastik job. He made canvas covers for my bolsters and a dash cover as well. If you dropped the boat off to him he'd have it done in a few days. He will not travel to locust valley.
