Default 24 Super fairing ??

The inside of my fairing has some kind of black vinyl stuck to it. It's starting to peel off and it looks crappy. Does anybody have any ideas on how to make it look better? I was thinking of just painting it black or white. I think the black is good for absording the glare but white would look better.

Mine is a thin layer of black foam like material. Noticed it loose in a few areas as well. I guess when it gets crappy looking I'll have to take the fairing off (which has caulking between it and the deck) to repare it correctly.

I didn't plan on having to take the fairing off. How is it attached anway? It must be screwed in somewhere. I'm hoping I can remove the vinyl and paint the fairing without having to remove it.

Hi Dave,
I finally sold my Pantera so I started working on my Superboat. What did you do about your fairing? Mine is not peeling off but it looks moldy and like ****. Not looking for another project, but...

Hey Patrick,

I haven't done anything yet. I think I going to take out the vinyl and paint it black.

I have to install a foot insert too. I didn't realize that it is glassed in. I thought it would screw in. I never did any glass work so I haven't got to that project yet either.
