Good for them! they aren't above the law. I was told by a cop once that they have no right to break traffic laws themselves while on duty.

There was a cop around my way that was fired for speeding in a school zone They used that excuse to get rid of him seems they didn't want him on the force so they followed him around and wrote him up for various traffic violations.
