Getting ready to replace a fuel tank I was wondering the
+ / - of aluminum or plastic ? any info or experience post it!

SO.. you finally got the old one out huh ?
I've heard that plastic tanks swell in time so that would have to be factored in if you went that route..
If you go with al. give it a good epoxy coating before installing anf that will hold ya for a long time !

28ss, just wondering how the hell did you get the old one out?
Mine didnt need replaced but from looking at it it seems like you would have to cut out part of the floor

A buddy of mine just replaced the center fuel tank in his Cig 28SS. He had an aluminum tank made by I believe the same co. as the original manufacturer. I helped him remove and replace so I know what a fun time you had. I will talk to him today and see if I can get some more info for you.
