prop help

I could use some advice here. I have a 97' baja boss with a 500 horse 502. Im running a 4-blade 24p prop. I hit around 70 mph (gps) at 5100 rpm, Im sure this motor can pull more rpm and I really belive this boat should have a higher top speed with my setup. Its got rebuilt merlin heads, headers, 750 holley double pumper carb, and full MSD ignition with rebuilt distributor and new plugs. Any ideas on a prop choice for more top speed? The low-mid range is awesome so I doubt losing some low end would hurt much, Thanks

hmm, talk to mark or milt at work - and call the prop shop tomarrow during work hours. I think you should go to a 26 pitch four blade. the only reason I am responding is because OSO will not allow me to view forums anymore unless I register - chat with you later

What size Baja??? If its a 24 Outlaw or a 272, you're in the ball park with that speed and hp. You may be able to pick up a few mph with some prop work. A 25 Mirage plus will give you some more on top but kill the holeshot and midrange.
