Default Carolina racing engines?

How well are their motors built?
I am looking at a boat that has a 454, puts out 625HP according to the seller.

I have heard nothing but good things about Carolina engines.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure the company is run by the original Hawk Engines people.

Carolina Racing Engines built my 572 motor. They are tops in my book. Talk with Smitty down there. They are not with Hawk in any way as far as I know.Wardey
