Default Driver waves to crew-loses race-OT

In the F3000 races today the leader by 2 seconds slowed down to wave a victory hand to his crew.. 2 seconds later the 2nd place car passed him and won the race. The initial leader came in 3rd..

Anything like that happen in Offshore??

he was just waving to slow hmself down for the finish. His contract only lets him finish 2nd or lower.
What a sleepless night he'll have!

In the 2000 Worlds in St Pete the Roll Offs throttle man was very busy waving at the Freeze Frame helicoptor seconds before they rolled the boat.

I watched the race too. What a collection of stupid moves - one car drives right up on top of the car in front of him, the leader gets passed while he's being a putz, then on the victory lap a guy hit the wall screwing around. This happens right as the announcers are saying "Don't do anything stupid, just put the car away."

Hey it's just Formula 3000, the training wheels for the big time... F1.
I saw that too, it was hard to believe, but Monaco being a very tight course, the pits are where they are, the guy was just waving to his crew... on the last lap, instead of AFTER the checkered flag!
Audacity: who ya talkin'bout? Do you mean Marathon Fury??
