Check out this "Twin Turbo" Lightning on ebay. I have never seen an engine setup like this.

Pretty funky!!!

Twin Procharged 502 MPI..

Do you think it could actually work correctly? Thats a cubic chitload of boost for a 502 MPI set up

Who would buy a boat like this at auction and not know the difference between a turbo and a supercharger?

Kinda hard to tell from the pics other than the opening for the air intake on a mpi is towards the front of the motor, but turbo's would be linked into the exhaust, and superchargers would be belt driven. These look like superchargers simply because of where they are.

OK, the seller might be confused on Turbo-Charged and Super-Charged. You would be surprised how many people are. Besides. Turbo is a better 'buzz' word for selling to un-educated; rather than Super, as he is aiming the ad toward the un-educated, probably much like himself.

However, there are clearly two intake tubes going into the intake plenum of the throttle body. I am not really familiar with a a Pro-Charger setup, but what is to say there is not another Centrifucal Super Charger under the right or left side of each of those engines? Impossible? No.

Matter of fact, upon closer inspection of the pics. I think I am right.

2 centrifugal blowers and no intercooler into a standard-looking EFI plenum. Odd.

Thats the old Gaffrig cool charger setup. Its a twin blower application and they spin at half the rpm of normal blowers so they dont need to use an intercooler. they still make the normal boost pressures that any other blower would, but since they spin slower they dont heat the intake air up.
