Default Running Video of Lake Norman Poker Run

Check out the video that was taken by the Lake Norman video guy www.lknfun.com at the start of the Poker Run last weekend. My boat is the 30 Spectre off to the right.

Hey Sonny,
I hate that I did not get to go. I did not even know about it. Guess I have been a little out of the loop lately. Barry did not even tell me about it. Looks like you guys had a great turn out.

Thats nuts to hold all boats behind the pace boat, especially that many. I am sure it made for some rough driving conditions. Reminds me of all the traffic that is created on I-40 when you have a state trooper cruising along @55mph and everyone behind him, afraid to pass, even though the speed limit is 60mph.

When we did Smith Mountian poker run a few years ago, they had 3 different heats to leave out to break everone up for better water conditions and better safety. Worked great, but I am sure it was quite a sound and site to see 75 performance boats that close together at one time on Lake Norman.

How many cats to you think were there?

There were at least 10 cats there including several Eliminators, Skater, Motion, Spectre. I ran up front for the first two card stops and then said the hell with that. Alot of people trying to be out front without looking or caring for other boaters and how close they were to each other. I thought it was dangerous. So, we laid back the rest of the time and then rocketed though the crowd after everyone got a head start and spread out. The weather was great and we had a killer time.

Get you ass out on the water!
