Well as per my last post about circuit breaker, it did it again
only this time when I reset I had power but no fire/spark.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Please read last post also

Thanks Geo

Unilites are a pain in the .... Modules used to be about $70 bucks. To test it remove the cap, rotor, turn the ignition on and check the voltage on the negative terminal of the coil, should be roughly 12 volts. The slide something between the electronic eye in the distributor, a credit card works the best. (Use the same one that you are probably going to use to buy a new module...) The voltage should drop to about 1-2 volts, if there is not a voltage change then you need a module.
More then likely you have too much voltage going to it. Mallory unilites need a ballast resistor to reduce voltage to around 12 volts.
Hope that helps.

I`ve never ran a Unilite on a boat because of the poor service that I`ve had with them on cars.
I`m sure your module is bad. Any voltage spike, small or large will zap that module every time. The last time I looked, a new module was about $85 (from Summit or Jegs).
