Help, need starter for 575sci

I need to replace a starter on my Mercruiser 575's. Would you go with stock or aftermarket with gear reduction. If you go with aftermarket, would you replace both starters on both motors? thanks for your help.

Take starter to a shop & have them rebuild it. Most likely only brushes have wore out or rusted & not putting pressure on armature.
