A bud has the dp and a 8.1. He wants to whipple it , how much hp will the drive take and what is the largest props you can buy? He has 1.65s for gears and is running a 28 in now. He was told there isnt a bigger set of props available??

What is he running now? F-5's? I believe they go up to at least F-7's, maybe even F-8's. F's are the stainless, D's are the aluminum. I'm not sure how high the D's go.

As far as horsepower, the drive will probably take it, but the steering might be the weak link.

Is it the DP or the DPX?

If it's the DPX, then he should have NO worries. And there is a good assortment of props available for it.

Im not sure on the dp or dpx.. Ill ask. Its on a glastron carlsom 21 foot cvx with the standard 8.1. And the props are stainless. Thanks guys sj
