Default #1 R drive vs Alpha drive

Anyone know if a 1980 R drive will bolt up to a 1984 Alpha?

Asking for someone else that blew his drive up.

Anyone in the northeast have a good used alpha drive for a V8?
I think 1.5 ratio...

Thanks,

Yes it will bolt up, but double check the length of the input shaft to make sure it is correct for your application.

It will bolt up but the #1 drive is quite a bit weaker than an Alpha. The lower drive shaft is much thinner than an Alpha.
