Boat insurance cancelled-boat is too fast
#1
I just recieved a non-renewel notice from Progressive Northern Insurance Co., that I got last year from Bob @ Worldwide Marine Underwritters.
The reason for this non-renewel notice (they say) is because, "the maximum speed for the 99 Active 32' is an unacceptable coverage risk"
Has anybody else ran into this problem w/Progressive?
And who would you recommend for an 80 mph boat?

Todd wouldn't have the slightest idea - Progressive Liab. only here.
Good to meet you last weekend. Sweet looking boat! I didn't see you at Shooters Sat. night - although I did fall asleep in mine at Shooters dock about 11:30. Boy, what a party animal I am in my old age! I guess Party Cove was too much for me.
Maybe we can hook up next time at LOTO.

Markel is one of only three insurance companies that write performance boats anymore. And the max speed is not what YOU tell them.........it's what the MANUFACTURE tells them. So, if the manufacture is bragging up speeds to sell boats................well you should be able to get the jist........
PMA and WorldWide both handle Markel.......they have been very good and right by me. even after a 7800.00 claim year before last........still under 3500.00 a year
