So last week, Im going to diner with the girlfriend, was going to take the truck, but didnt have lplates or insurance and dad got mad for me asking...So we pull onto a 4 lane road, accelerate normally (under 1800 the whole time)It was raining pretty good, then about 35mph, as it was going into 4th (OD) the rpms climbed (sp) and I figured I might have hit some deep water a bit to fast, didnt feel like it was hydroplaning, check the speedo, 35ish, tires arent spinning. I still had 1-3, so put it back into Drive and got home, next day tried to take it for a ride, it wont down shift and 4th is neutral Oh well, I can still get around with the truck (plates now!) I work with a kid who has a 4.6 Tbird ( I have the 5.0) and asked him if he knew of any junkyards with tbirds in them, he said he found a 5.0 and tranny for 500, I told him I will split it with him, but do i really need a new tranny or is just a small thingh broke in mine?
