Before I got a reply I put an aluminum rod down
the fill hole and the tip came out red.
That is what I filled with.

Or you can be really fancy and use aviation 5606 red hydraulic oil. It's a little pricey at about 30 bucks a gallon but then you can tell people you use airplane stuff in your boat. Just kidding.
