Default Impeller Change

Belive my impeller is going down, water temp rising, oil pressure dropping at idle. I guess what I am looking for is how difficult is the change with motor in the boat and is there anything special I should look for? 502 single in 242 Formula. Any help??? or just dive in??

I found it very easy to do, I can do it in about an hour. Just have some dish soap to help get the impeller in. This assumes that you have good access, which I have always had.

I have no idea what it would have to do with your oil pressure unless you mean that it is getting hot and therefore pressure runs a little low???

I have replaced mine several times on my own. Took on the project the first time without any tech advice. I found it to be a VERY easy job. Like Von Bongo, the first time took me about an hour. I can do it in about 30 minutes now. Air tools make a big difference.

It's easy to access on your engine. I have the same one.

It should be no problem. I changed them in my 242 with twins, your's will be much easier. Do you have a sea strainer? You might want to check that too.
