My trim tab continues to move long after the switch is released. Is it the switch, the solenoid or the motor?

If it is the solenoid, do you fix it or just replace it?

The tabs are from Fountain, does it use Merc pump parts?

Does it continue to move in both directions? There is an up solenoid, and a down solenoid. My guess is, it's the switch.

Yes it sticks both up and down.

My trim switch sticks on occasion. I have had some luck spraying some electronics cleaner into the switch. You can pick some up at radio shack.
