Happy Baja Owner once again.

Well I just got back from my meeting with Baja. I was very apprehensive about them fixing the hull of boat as you have all read on the other thread that I posted. However, as soon as I got to the factory and the rep started talking I knew that the problems would be taken care of and that the previous problems I have had with Baja were basically a lot of bad timing, miscommunication, and bad luck.
Heres is what they are going to do. They are going to blue print the hull and check every inch. They already know that it is not a structural problem and that it can be fixed with simple skin coats. The boat has a tail hook that is off only by 1/16-1/8 of an inch. This is a very small imperfection but it can throw the angle of the boat off by up to 5 degrees. Anyway most of the boats at the factory have some sort of minor hull imperfection when they come out of the mold are fixed during the assembly process. They usually catch the problems before they leave the factory but sometimes one slips through.
I am very comfortable with Baja fixing the boat. I went through the factory and was shown how easily the problem can be fixed as well as Baja's written commitment that it will be perfect and the warranty will be extended.
Beyond that I learned a couple of really helpful things for all Baja owners today. First, if you have a major a problem with your boat such as hull or deck work, let the factory fix it. If the factory fixes it you do not have to disclose that the boat was worked on when you sell it because it was done by the factory. If your dealer does the work you have to disclose it to anyone you sell the boat to.
Second never buy a boat without the stainless steel rub rail. When they put on the rub rail it adds twice as many screws to the hull and deck joint inherently producing a stronger stiffer boat (this is my opinion not something the factory told me).
Third if you have a chance to go and tour the factory do it . I was like a kid in a candy store. I got to see the new 30 outlaw and a 40 in the middle of production. It was also really cool to see the boats go from mold to the finished product and all the steps in between. When you see the guts of these boat you really know that Baja builds one hell of a boat.
Sorry this is sooo long but I wanted to update everyone after *****ing about my boat for the last 3 months and let everyone know that after all I have been through Baja has my confidence back up and I hope that they make good on their end of the deal.

That's VERY GOOD news.
I felt like Baja would take care of you. Hopefully you will end of with a much better product after the repairs.
The factory tour is awesome! We where there last year to see the 36 being built. Everyone should go up there!
