Default 30 Outlaw on cover of Powerboat

Dad Gum it!!!!
When I got home and opened up the ol' mailbox and there was the 30 Outlaw on the cover, I could hardly wait to rip it open and read how it performed. Well, I was dissapointed because there was merely a picture and a short write up on it as a new model. Come on people, show us some numbers as to what she does!!!!!

They had the first one at the Lake Cumberland Poker Run. The guys said they were very dissapointed with the speed. Said they laid it out way too heavy. This one had 496HO's and said they were running around 70-72. He said the gps read 74 but he thinks that was a spike. Very cool looking boat and they also said it rode very, very well in the rough. The next one is supossed to be about 800lbs lighter. Hoping to get mid 80's with 500's. They also had a sick 33 with whippled 496ho's and he was running 89MPH!!

Was it that same blue and orange one they've been dragging around the country for the last year? One might suspect they laid that one up heavy based on the 7700lb listing in the brochure.

We had the blue and orange one up here for a poker run also. They we're having some problems (fuel related I think) and weren't able to do any speed runs.

Cool looking boat, but blue and orange

7,700 #'s, that's more than a
33 o/l weighs.
Now, add fuel, people, and
you've got a weight near what
a 36 o/l weighs.

....... It should ride good

What happened to the
600#'s lighter, and 6 mph faster

I heard (from a credible source)
it was "back to the drawing board"

Somebody's "sandbaggin".
Who told you 6,600???

If it does weigh 6,600, I would expect more than 79-80 with HO's.

My 33 will run 71-73 with 3/4-full tank of gas and 4 adults! I know they will get some speed out of it but they won't see high 70's by losing 800 lbs. My 33 only changes 2-3 when dropping that much weight. Wow, am I glad I didn't wait the extra year for the 30, especially with the rebates and pricing that was to be had this spring.

I too heard from a credible source that Baja was not satisfied with the performance and was considering more work on the hull before production.

The speed in my 29 varies 2mph or less with an 800lb swing.
