Does Mercury/Mercruiser manufactuer its own gears and shafts or are they manufacturered by a supplier?

Milwaukee Gear used to supply to them. I don't know who does now. They might get stuff from overseas now.

from my understanding they used to be farmed out but since they started with new bravo stuff they do there own stuff that is why most people use xr gears hard to duplicate there strength
