Default 509 dyno results

I had one of the Cigarette engines run on the dyno to see what it would make before freshening them up. I'll post the graph as soon as I get it but the top number was 610 CHP@5200.

Crazy, what kind of torque was that bad boy twisting out?

Brian Kamrath

Have you ever weighed actual dyno results against a computer simulation like desktop dyno? I've done it in the past and the numbers were remarkably close. Just wondering what your experience has been.

If crack cocaine is like horsepower...take me to rehab.

Yeah, it was a surprise. The EGT numbers went up along with the horsepower, and the boost went up slightly. Unfortunately the reason these engines have a very short flame arrestor is because the blowers place the carbs right up against the hatch. The hatch has already been raised about 5 inches and there's no more room to be had.

I guess I'll have to take those blowers off your hands to take care of this problem!.......HeHe....Does someone make low profile hi-flow models that would fit and still be U.S.C.G approved?....Fred
