Post HP500 to 502 MPI Flame Arrestor

Does anybody out there know if a flame arrestor off of a 2001 HP500 will fit on a 1999 502 MPI? Or would the filter work with an adapter? Rex Marine sells an adapter and K&N filter for the 502. I am told that this is the same filter as the HP500. Thanks for any input.

The 500EFI filter will not fit on the 502MPI, unless you get the adapter from Rex.

CheckmateF1,
Is the HP500 filter the same one that Rex sells? Will it fit on to the billet adapter? Thanks for your input.

The only difference I see is that the 500EFI has an oval throttle body. And the Rex adapter looks to be round. The filter that Rex sells looks to be exactly like the 500EFI filter. But it may have a round flange(were the clamp goes) as compared to an oval flange.
