Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using aluminum rods over steel ones. HP I'm looking for won't be over 700 rpm around 5200. I'm installing a blower and was going to put in the Eagle H-beams plus SRP pistons, crank and heads are 502 mag. with inconel exht. valves

Aluminum Rods will absorb the shock of detonation typical with a blower setup. However their life expectancy is usually measured in "Runs" at the drag strip.I think that a Steel Rod will last much longer than Aluminum in a Marine Environment.I have a set of Eagle Rods with the L19 Bolt upgrade .They are not Olivers but at 1/3 of the cost they will work!

Has anyone ever used these howards ultimate duty rods ? I saw one at an automotive show, & it looked really nice, but I haven't known anyone that's used them
I've used competition products before, and I've always been satisfies with the things I've bought. So anyways, just wondering.
