Default Did I get screwed by an OSO member?

A while back in July I bought some parts for a friend of mine through an OSO member. The parts did not work out and almost caused a disaster on a fresh engine. I have been E-mailing this person since then and was told he would be back in town August 14th. Did not hear from him. E-mailed numerous times to be told he was "out of town" by someone that was answering his e-mails. Bottom line 4 months later this has not been resolved. I gave my friend back the money and I am personelly stuck with something I have no use for.
I really hate to "bash" this person BUT am open for suggestions. Do I reveal this person's identity to avoid anyone else to deal with a person that does not make good for something ?

First of all what are the parts? maybe someone could use them here. Otherwise give him one more warning and then let the names fly. This board has been very good at getting these types of deals resolved.

I had e-mailed him towards the end of October telling him if he did not get back to me by months end I will post a "thread" on OSO. Had a reponce he would be "back in town soon" by someone supposedly answering his e-mails. Figured I would give it some time and still not resolved or heard back from this indvidual.

What exactly are these parts ?
Why are they no good ? Did the seller mislead you about them ? Fill us in on the details .

First of all did he send a bad part, a good part that just did not work for you, or not all the parts.......

There is a big difference. If he sent a obviously bad part that was advertised as good, or a not working part that was advertised as good then that sucks. If he sent you a part that just did not work for you or did not fit your aplication then I would say you just need to sell it yourself and he did nothing wrong.

I've never been screwed by an OSO member. Is this good or bad?

Either way guys, the seller should at least repsond to e-mails regarding the buyers concerns. If he is avoiding you, then something smells bad.

Distributors were for tall decks w/an adaptor collar to supposedly work for standard deck. Needless to say the oil pump shaft did not make positive contact into the distributor gear. Brand new engines fired right up with no oil psi. We quickly removed the distributor and put my spare in and had oil psi and ran ran. Nothing wrong with the distributors. Just simply wrong application.
