I just put some money down on a 1995 271 SR1. The boat is really clean and has really low hours. I was wondering if anyone has had a 271 with this set-up. I understand this isn't a fast boat and I am willing to sacrifice a little speed for a quality boat. Any comments regarding this set-up?

I had a 1995 252LS with a 454mag and bravo 3. Ran low to mid 60's and was great out of the hole and midrange. I'd say the 271 should be close to the same.

Thanks for the replys, this is my first boat purchase (my dad had a 32 Carver I always took out) and I'm trying to reduce my buyers remorse!

Well, I did it. Just have to finish the financing. I took the boat out today and it reach the 60mph mark, but I forgot my GPS unit. I was pleased that it cruised around 45-47mph @ 3800-4000rpm. Now I just have to wait til next spring to enjoy it!
