Default The Catalina Ski Race

I was watching the show Real TV last night and I saw water skiers that race from point A to point B at speeds up to100mph. WOW!! At to top that, they were in the Pacific where there is no such thing as calm water. A 62 mile race and I think they said the record is around 50 minutes....

Damn, I know what it feels like to wipe good on a ski at 40.....can you imagine 100?

They have to have some pretty good machinery and drivers to pull with too...

The only place you can normally go 100 right at the "drag strip area" which is the last 3/4 mile as you pass the Queen Mary. Here's some photos.
