Can anyone tell me do I need a 6000lbs lift or an 8000lbs lift for a 1995 271?

I don't know the answer, but like I figure with trailers, you can never have too much.

Is there much of a price difference in the two?

Not to mention...how about your next boat? Wanna but another lift? Do it right the first time go for the 8K. Unless there is a MAJOR price difference

I would buy 8000lb . I built my first lift with 4 poles and 7years later the lift has 8 poles . I cant understand why we can't be happy with the first one. although I have had the same wife for 15 years. good luck and YAPPY NEW YEAR.
