Talking Caught "the wife" reading Powerboat mag

So I'm cooking dinner last night and Deb walks up to me and shows me a letter to the editor from the Feb./02' edition of Powerboat magazine. She was using "my office" and desperate for something to read, she picked up that issue. She asked me, "is this Too Old". I almost collapsed. Sure enough, our very own Too Old was the first letter on page. I couldn't believe that a) she was actually reading Powerboat, and b) she remembered Too Old's name. This could reverse the rotation of the earth.

I went up to her, gave her a big hug, and told her "this was a moment". I still hurt.....

Hey !!! Maybe if we all can get the wives to read the mag's, they will get some ideas what WE REALLY want for Christmas instead of all the bullsh*t they give us that we have to pretend to like...."Oh geee honey, I really love those underwear with the little skiers on them". Dave

Not sure yet. He was dead-on right about the float. I replaced the float and needles shortly after I wrote pb and it helped things dramatically. The problem has not gone away though. I'm seriously looking into replacing the carb and I'm working with Rum Runner off the board. He works for Barry Grant who also has a line of marine carbs. I'd rather not use Holley. It's a combination of personal opinion, experience and appearance. The big question has to do with the linkage. Teague said that the progressive linkage would open the secondaries sooner. BG says that it will open the secondaries later. We'll have to get that one straightened out before spending any green.
