Default Edelbrock Carbs ?

What is the general concensous of Edelbrock (Carter / AFB style) carbs? Holley seems to be dominate here. I have used the Edelbrock units on several modified vehicles (cars) with good success. Will a Holley actually make more power? If so, how? Thanks again.

The main difference your looking at between the Edelbrock and a Modular Style carburetor (Holley or Demon) is tunability. The two piece carbs do not offer as many variables in sizing or tuning. This is the reason race engines use modular style carburetors, you can get better air control, fuel metering, and atomization.

Edelbrock now has an 800cfm available (Summit $285, non-marine though). I doubt it would be enough for a healthy 502.
