anyone out there know the specs on the 496 mag engine? ,was wondering the duration and lift,is the idle lumpy?thanks

I don't know about the cam specs, but the idle is not lumpy. At least not IMO.

I've cam doctored both cams and L8shift has good numbers. The duration on the 496HO is 222 degrees on the intake and 232 degrees on the exhaust @.050. Not a radical lumpy cam. The reason this motor dosn't make bigger numbers is the stock iron heads. Our aluminum heads will premier at Miami in February and we should be shipping pairs in late March. Now you will be able to make this engine roar!
