I am planning an around the State Run after the ice is off the lakes "early spring". I had one planned for last year in the fall but my pesky job got in the way.

Here is the idea... Depart Monroe MI or Lake St Clair --- End Up in South Haven trailer back to SE Michigan.

Does anyone have an interest?

Has anyone else done it? Do you have any recommendations? Does anyone have ability to map it? My GPS is on the boat, I would like to know the number of miles.


Can you tell I am sick of the snow yet?

My Garmin Mapsource program says it is about 550 miles. But that is if you never enter port, and more or less hug the shore. Skip Saginaw bay, go between Bois Blanc Island and shore, navigate Gray's Reef, etc...

Probably closer to 600-650 miles by the time you were done.

Oh, and that is start point of St. Clair Shores, ending in South Haven.

24 Aspirin
A bag of chips
Satellite Radio

Hum.... Oh yea credit card for gas..... That should about do.
