Might be Python, but most likely C++. I'm trying to analyze a function, and/or slow down part of it into a step by step action to determine what is happening in each step.

Most compilers have some type of step-by-step function. Look through the menus and tolls bar at the top of your compiler. This is assuming you are using some type of graphical program.

The compiler might have a built in debug mode if you dig thru the toolbar. What is it doing you don't like?

KH0302- Part of what I am trying to do is determine how the software actually initializes a hardware device.
