Default Merc 1075... how much$$$

I saw a thread that stated the new Merc 1075 is $150K... is this correct? Is that what they are asking for the engine, or does this price include #VI drive?

I sure hope the engine alone is not this much!

Sure hope they run better than the 1050.

I heard $149k "retail", in Miami... not sure what you can buy it for, but DAAAAAAAAAMNNNNN, that's a lot of $$$ for that motor, even with that "free" first rebuild.

Anyone have first-hand experience with the new engine? How did it run? Did it stall around the docks? Where was the idle set?

Thanks

It was in two running boats in Miami a ol and a cig(the foutain was on land,so we all didn't sea how slow it was). I went on the ol. Bob fired it up and put it right in gear and It didn't hesitate and he was battling a sportfish coming out across from him and shifted 8 to 10 times and didn't miss a beat. There was little problem's with then though, alot of electronics on them to go wrong. we'll sea!!!!!! 1100 hp on pump gas is a good deal
