Thumbs up 575 Sc

Is an intercooler standard equipment on the 575 SC merc? If not, is it an option, how much does it cost and what are the advantages? Thanks in advance

Supposed to be about 100 hp increase. When I was at Teague last month he had SuperChillers in stock that are painted Merc blue to match the motor. I would give them a call.

But if it did the advantage would be the ability to run more boost without increasing octaine.

Whipple makes an upgrade kit that increases boost and remaps ECU to still run on pump gas that gets you 75-100hp over stock.

They also have a real slick innercooler to add to the package if you want to do more.

Preciate the help superstar but my question is related to a 28 cat that I am looking to buy that is already equipped with a superchiller on a 575. I am trying to figure out why someone would use the chiller on this particular engine. It does not seem necesary for a motor that is only using 4.5 lbs. of boost. anyone have any ideas what could be done to this set up to make more H.P. and get more use from the chiller

If you have a chiller, you can increase the boost and get more hp.
