Default Alternator current output

I've got stock HP500 (carb) alternators, and I'm doing a significant audio upgrade. Anyone know what the current output is on my alternators?

Thanks,
Brian

I believe most Delco's are 60 amp. You probably need more battery power to supply adequate power for a serious amplifier. The alternator might not be able to deliver the peak current required of a high powered amp or amps.

Good luck.

Add some extra batteries and a few capacitors and yuo'll be fine.
