I recently purchased a 1988 Pachanga 22 with a 330 HP 454 and an Alpha drive. It currently has a 19P Mirage prop on it, and I know that is not enough prop. I think I need to be in the 23P-24P range. I'm looking for anyone that owns or has owned one of these boats and what prop worked best for them. Also, suggestions from anyone with some thoughts on this matter are welcome. Trying to gather as much info as possible so when it comes time to start testing, I'll have a good idea where to start.

Be warned: That alpha is seriously border line with that engine. Merc did it for one year and learned their lesson very quickly.

Yeah, I'm not real excited about having that Alpha behind a BB. Replaced the engine this year, and hopefully next fall I can replace the Alpha with a Bravo. Whenever I do that, I'll probably get to go through the whole prop testing ordeal all over again.

The 21 pitch Mirage conversion to ACCLERATOR WILL deliver a great hole shot ,great midrange accleration that will set you back and gain 3 to 4 mph on top end on this application.here is a picture of the ACCLERATOR.
let me know and we will let you try one out.
