I was wondering if aluminum heads will corrode in salt water over the years?? I have seen a lot of talk about them being better and was considering using aluminum when i rebuild the top half of my SBC this spring. Is this the same case with aluminum intakes??
Thanks

I just put closed cooling on my new engine because of aluminum intake. I think it will be worth the investment. ($570). It will also legnthen the life of the exhaust manifolds. Another advantage of the closed system is the ability to run at a higher temp, so the engine is more efficient. It isn't a very hard job to install the closed system either.
Very sweet boat by the way. I love a restored classic boat. I am restoring an 81 Formula.
