I need a quick lesson on runner lenghths. I have 330hp 454's with small penut ports. I have found a set of heads by world products that have a runner of 269 cc, 119 cc chambers 2.19 and 1.88 exhaust valves. Will I see any inprovment in perf by bolting these heads on along with Edelbrock 2.0 a cam shaft change and holley 750. Will the compression be too low? I can get the heads for $725

Andy are they ovals or rectangulars? I think your going to want to swutch to a 9.5/1 compression piston. I bought a set of castings on the board for $350.

They are ovals When you say castings, do you mean heads with no valvetrain. If I need pistons to bump the compression I will get a set of Vortecs (heads) and do the easy hp untill next fall

That would be Worlds oval port. For your application, the right cam, you should see a gain of 70HP easily.
