Default Need some input guy in Poland interested in our boat

I am very cautious Lately with all that has been going on with oversea's boat deals.

I have a guy that e-mailed me and asked me to get him the CIF price Gdansk/Poland Transportation price???
I have not talked to this guy by phone and he has asked just general questions all the answer were already in the ad.

Wouldn't it be easier for him to get these prices?

What do you think guys.

I am going to send him more pic's and then just give him my closest port and then let him take it from there

What is CIF?

I would not spend any time with it. Probably a scam.

I have heard similar things like this.. all being a scam. I believe BOOT just went through something similar, but he was LOOKING for something to buy and it turned out to be in Germany(NOT) ... it was a scam.

If he is buying the vessel then let him do the legwork, my opinion. That way you can see if he is truly interested. Caution is appropriate.

Found this on a website:

I bet he sends a check for too much money and asks you to send the change to a US account.

Be cautious, BUT !!!!

Just sold a boat to a guy in Holland. He arranged freight. I jsut got it to the port in JAX, FL.

Wired the money, held money 7 days and delivered boat.

Smooth transaction. He did all the leg work.

I had the money in hand, VERIFIED, the boat and title prior to it moving to Shipper.

TOO many scams going around, I would follow up with him but if he is serious he can do all the leg work and have the cash in hand, before you do anything.
