Which do you like better and why?

I've been to George but not Champlain. Keep in mind we are performance boaters.

Anyone have a summer place at either lake?

Lake Champlain;
-No Crowds or Traffic
-15 miles x 120 miles
-no speed or noise rules too stringent
-Beautiful Mountains, Crystal Clear water also
-5 or 6 beaches with 3' of water that go out for at least 1/4 mile all sand (for every wind direction)
-descent rough stuff if the wind is from the North or South; it can get a descent sized boat flying.
-dozens upon dozens of sheltered spot to anchor for the night and sleep on your rig with good holding and no prying eyes.


Lake George;
-I have not been there often enough but it's an awsome place also like F583 says:
But there is more traffic and for the good more restaurant to go to.

Here's Paul catering to the GF's mut's desires I'm glad he moved on she was nice but that furry rodent had to go.

Mountains...
Actually this is toward the South of the Lake looking West and across that range is Lake George about 5 miles away.
No water connection however.
