Angry Cat Insurance

OK I got the new boat and was loving life when i got the call. Nationwide had insured my boat and my agent called and said that the insurance underwriter was cancelling my coverage. It was only $671 a year. I called several more companies and they tell me that my boat does not qualify for coverage. My boat is a 2004 Eliminator Daytona 26 with a 496 H.O. 425 horsepower. Where do you guys recomend I get insurance. I have one quote from Boat US for 2158 with a 2400 deductible.

if you are going through the Boat US affiliate program (i think you may be with a cat) talk to Carlton. he IS the man. he may be able to work on that rate. he did Packinairs cat for under a grand a year. he knocked about 30% off my original rate as well

That quote sinds about right.....

I was paying $3500. a year three years ago for a 26' cat with 800 hp, and the rates have gone up since then.

I just got a quote of $6790. a year on a 30' cat with 525's.
