Smile 28 Single Owners . . .

Now the fun starts -

I'll be running my 650HP Motor and an XZ Drive or Imco Extreme both 1.50

What Props should I be looking to pick up?

Does anyone have pictures of a sea strainer mounted in their 28?

What exhaust tips does your 28 have? Mufflers?

Anyone have pictures of their stereo location?

I need all the help I can get, I want this boat in the water and running good as soon as I get it.

I appreciate any assisitance you can provide.

What RPM do you want to run? I am going to guess a labbed 30 or 28 4 blade bravo. My old 28 with a 575 and labbed 28 turned 4900rpm. My shotgun mufflers didn't do much. The outlaw muffs on my cig make a big difference but I am sure you will lose some speed.

Thanks for the info and picture.

I definately can't wait for this boat. So much room to work in there.

I liked the 24 too, open the hatch and people just stare and gasp!!!

Stereo was mounted above the port locker inside the cabin and the amp was in the locker. Speakers were all in the gunwales, no cabin speakers in my old boat. Had an had held VHF so can't help you there. Just make sure you can run a remote for the stereo to the helm somewhere.

I have a Velocity 280 with approx 600 hp and same gears and stock bravo drive. I run a stage I lab finished 30 bravo 4 blade. If your motor has a lot of torque, a 28 will probably rev up too much. I can turn my 30p 5500 rpm and run 82.8 on gps.

Big weight difference between the two boats, as well as no Pad or notch on the Pantera. I think the Pantera will be about 6500 lbs fully loaded with gear and fuel. So the 30 may be Ok but if I had to bet my left nut I would say that a 28 or 30 labbed and repitched to 29 will be the ticket.

Kenny, where you at dude? You're around 625hp now with the mod what are you turning for RPMs on that 28? (pitch and boat)
