Previous owner of my boat mounted gps antenna on port dash panel and mounted dgps antenna starboard side in cockpit. Planning to remove dgps and relocate gps antenna and possible change to disk type antenna. Where have others mounted their antenna? Any difficulties with installation and reception?

Dave i just got the 182C, and i may install the antennae on this flat spot just above my throttle. It will be near the windshield, dont think it will interfere with reception. The display will be left of the dash. Not sure of degree of difficulty, so i am having it done by someone else. Too many wires for me.

Ours is on the arch. Have had a couple located on the dash. BUT never seen anything like that.

I used to install them on the side where you had access to get the wiring through and still have a clear signal.

The local marina mounted it there for him. They mostly do electronic work on blow boats. I was thinking of relocating the gps antenna to where they mounted the dgps antenna and getting rid of that stupid thing. Any thoughts?
