As I posted in a thread before, the Safety Director of the APR Powerboat Superleague (Tim Calhoun) was involved in a motorcycle wreck a few weeks ago and his leg was injured so badly that the docs could not save it.
He is hanging tough though, and won't let this get him down. He intends to stay involved with the officiating of boat racing....Here is an update:

Best wishes Tim!

I'm really sorry to hear about this tragedy.
I'm a fellow m'cyclist although not nearly as active these days. A long time ago I had a really close call with my left leg, I was lucky to keep it. (traction
)etc.
Hang tough Tim.
