Default Need Help Carb Gaskets

I am replacing the base gasket on my Holley. And I can't seem to get the same answer on this one...Do I use a base gasket with 4 holes or with one big one(the open square type)? And given the answer to that why? What happens if you use the
"wrong" one?

My intake has a divider down the center. The divider is not flush with top of the intake to carb base. The two gaskets avail are a 4 hole and an open hole such as for a single plane manifold. Neither fits the intake with a divider down the middle that is not flush with the rest of the top of the carb to intake surface. FYI I am using an Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap for a Vortec SBC.

BH,
The four hole gaskets are for use with the Q-jet four hole manifolds like this one.
Use the open gasket with your manifold.
